एक पेड़ पर एक कौआ बैठा था। A crow was sitting on a tree.
उसके मुँह में रोटी का टुकड़ा था। In its beak was a piece of bread.
एक चालाक लोमड़ी वहाँ आई। A clever fox came there.
लोमड़ी ने कहा: "कौए भाई, आप बहुत सुंदर हैं।" The fox said: "Dear crow, you are very beautiful."
"ज़रा गाइए, आपकी आवाज़ बहुत मीठी है।" "Please sing, your voice is very sweet."
कौए ने जैसे ही मुँह खोला, रोटी नीचे गिर गई। As soon as the crow opened its beak, the bread fell down.
लोमड़ी ने रोटी उठाई और भाग गई। The fox picked up the bread and ran away.
